Vote NO on the "One Big Beautiful Bill"

The Senate just passed a brutal rollback of disability rights, and now it’s racing through the House. The Rules Committee is meeting today to set up a full vote tomorrow morning, with the goal of delivering this bill to Trump’s desk by July 4. We need you to act right now to stop this assault on our community!

This Administration’s "One Big Beautiful Bill” is not “beautiful,” it’s brutal. If passed, it will cut critical and cost-effective programs that support Oregonians with disabilities by:

• Slashing Medicaid by $800 billion, stripping life-saving healthcare from 129,616 people with disabilities on Medicaid’s Oregon Health Plan.
   
• Gutting the Medicaid expansion program created in the Affordable Care Act, depriving 36,220 people of health insurance. The Medicaid expansion population includes adults without dependents as well as many parents and people with disabilities or chronic conditions who do not receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
   
• Imposing new requirements for Medicaid that are aimed at making the program more difficult to navigate so people lose health insurance coverage—policies that proved challenging for Arkansas and Georgia to operationalize and led to 18,000 people losing coverage in Arkansas, without increasing employment.
   
• Cutting Supplemental Food Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by $230 billion. In Oregon, this would mean that a modestly priced meal would cost 71% more than the maximum SNAP benefit.
